Mrs. J. W. Walker, 85, died at 4:15 a.m. Monday at her home Route 1, China Spring.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at China Spring Baptist Church, Rev. Earl Vanderford and Rev. J. W. Thornton officiated, burial in China Spring Cemetery.

The body lay in state at the church one hour before the service.

Survivors: four sons, Willie C. Walker of 3117 Lasker; J. W. Walker, Jr. of 3805 Windsor; O. D. Walker of China Spring; V. Earl Walker of Jasper; one daughter, Mrs. Mattie Pearl Brock of Longview; one brother, Walter Jones, Savoy, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
