Homer L. Turnage, 66, of China Spring, died Thursday at a local hospital.  Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at China Spring Cemetery.  Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at BrookView Funeral Home.

Mr. Turnage was born April 3, 1934 in Lott, Texas.  he was the son of the late Homer and Mary Turnage.  He graduated from Waco Tech in 1951 and married Bettye Payne in 1951.  Mr. Turnage was in the Air Force and was a state trooper in the border patrol.  He retired from the V. A. Regional Office in 1996.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Justin Turnage and wife Kelly of Grandview; four granddaughters, Jessica Kaitlyn, Casey and Taylor, and sisters, Christine Bobek and Faye Trout, both of Waco.
