Alsbury “PeeWee” Toten, 56, of Valley Mills passed away at his residence on August 13, 2013.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 16, at China Spring Cemetery with Pastor John Wheatley officiating.
Toten was born October 16, 1956 in China Spring to Purvey and Katie McDonald Toten. He attended China Spring schools.
On March 18, 1977, he married Elaine Padgett in Meridian. The couple has three children. He lived in China Spring until 2002, then moved to Valley Mills.
He enjoyed dancing, cooking, children and grandchildren. He loved his family and friends. He never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Faye Toten and a brother, Bud Toten.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine of Valley Mills; son, Bill Toten and wife Thelma of Valley Mills; two daughters, Amanda Toten and partner Nicole Dodd of Euless, and Faye Toten and fiancé Rusty Huhn of Valley Mills; sister, Hazel Crews of Waco; two brothers, Donald Toten of Waco and Kenneth Toten and wife Patty of Stephenville; grandchildren, Justin, Jason and Brittany; and lots of nieces and nephews, along with life-long friend Charles Sulak.
