Thomas Matthew (Tom) Talbert, 29, of DeSoto, formerly of China Spring, died Monday morning in a Dallas hospital from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Wilkirson and Hatch Chapel, Dr. William H. Littleton officiating. Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Talbert was born in Houston and moved to China Spring as a child. He graduated from China Spring High School and was a member of St. Paul’s Epicopal Church. He attended McLennan Community College and was shop superintendent four years at Hannan Hydraulics in Dallas.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Bradley Talbert of Aurora, CO.; his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Milton L. Talbert, Sr. of China Spring; two brothers, Milton L. Talbert, Jr. of Salt Lake City and Richard P. Talbert of China Spring; his grandparents, Mrs. R. L. (Irene) Talbert of China Spring and Mr. and Mrs. M.P. Rylander of West Columbia.
