Ted M. Talbert Sr., 55, of 3829 Fredrick, vice president of L. L. Sams and Sons, died Sunday morning in a local hospital.

Services will  be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Wilkirson and Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. J. Henry Brown officiating.  Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Talbert was born and attended school in China Spring.  He was a graduate of Waco High School and Baylor University.  He worked for L. L. Sams and Sons for more than 30 years.

He was a member of Kiwanis International and a World War II veteran.

Surviviors include his wife, Mrs. Ina Talbert; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Turner of Grand Prairie, Mrs. Brenda Bohn of Waco, Mrs. Beth Coats of San Marcos and Mrs. Beverly McGregor of Waco; two sons, Ted M. Talbert Jr. of Temple and Tom Talbert of China Spring; and six grandchildren.
