Roy Stone, 86, of 2115 Reuter Ave., died Monday at a local nursing home.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Connally-Compton Downtown Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Leslie Stone officiating. Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Stone was born Feb. 15, 1900 in Everton, Ark. He was married to Lybeoth Montgomery, Nov. 4, 1925 in Aquilla, They farmed in the China Spring area and moved to Waco 15 years ago. He was a member of Lebanon Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Joyce Mayfield of Tyler; two sons, John D. Stone of Rock Creek and the Rev. Leslie E. Stone of Blackfoot; brother, Ota Stone of West; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
