Leroy Smith, a self-employed painter, died Thursday at his home in Waco.  He was 80.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today at China Spring Cemetery, the Rev. Paul Smith officiating.

Mr. Smith was born Sept. 8, 1910, in Golinda.  He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Smith of Waco; two daughters, Joan Reese of Northcrest and Kori Smith of Waco; two brothers, James Smith of Waco and Louis Smith of Rosebud; a sister, Eira Mae Morrow of Waco; and a grandson.

Connally-Compton Downtown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
