Mrs. Edwina K. Smith, 85, of China Spring, an employee of Goldstein-Migel for 48 years, died Monday in a local hospital.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at China Spring United Methodist Church, the Rev. Vernon Lamcke and Dr. Cyrus Barcus officiating.  Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.

Miss Smith was born Oct. 17, 1895, in China Spring and attended Baylor University and Southwest Texas State University.  She taught school at China Spring for 17 years and worked as cosmetics department manager at Goldstein-Migel for 48 years.

She was a member of Waco Chapter 7, Order of the Eastern Star, and China Spring United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Claire Smith and Kathleen Talbert, both of China Spring.
