Bill Skiles, 62, of China Spring, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2007, at a local hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at OakCrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Leland Bill was born in Adeline, Texas, to the late L.B. and Opal (Langley) Skiles. He married the love of his life, Karen Winkelmann, on July 3, 1987, in China Spring. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, LeeAnn Skiles.

Bill is survived by his wife, Karen, of China Spring; son, William “Billy” Skiles, of Waco; daughter, Kristy McCollum Helm, of China Spring; granddaughters, Lindsey Helm and Izabel Skiles; sisters; Patty Kindy and husband, Bob, of Conroe, and Frances Hill and husband, Bill, of Fort Worth; mother and father-in-law, Wilburn and Dovie Winkelmann, of China Spring; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Darlene and Jim Gorham, of Waco; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and many friends.
