Edris Simpson of China Spring, 79, died Saturday in a Waco hospital.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today, June 7, 1993, at China Spring Cemetery, the Rev. Kenneth Boatman officiating.

Mrs. Simpson was born April 10, 1914, in China Spring and attended school there. She was employed by the City of Waco Water Department and retired in 1979 after 25 years of service with the city. She was active in the Woodmen of the World Family Fraternity Service and was a member of China Spring Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Bonds.

Survivors include an aunt, Lena Wallace of China Spring; and several cousins.
