Mrs. Virginia  (Ginny) Shookman, 56, of Route 1, China Spring Cemetery, Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating.

Mrs. Shookman was born Jan.9, 1931, in Sipe Springs and attended Comanche schools.  She moved to Waco in 1950.  She was married to Wayne A. Shookman in 1962.  She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2148.  She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Glinda Phifer; two sons, Don Buckmaster and Charles Buckmaster; two sisters, Dessie Hooks and Jessie Lee Taylor; a brother, Ben Cagle; and five grandchildren.

The family will be at Shookman’s residence in China Spring.

The family has designated  the Heart Fund for memorials.
