James D. Shillings, 68, of Speegleville died Sunday afternoon in a local hospital.

Survivors include his wife; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Shillings of Delia; three daughters, Mrs. Andrea Nightingale of China Spring, Mrs. Alyne Thompson of 2824 Gorman and Mrs. Billie Ruth Lumpkin of Route 10, Waco; two sons, Donald L. Shillings and James Douglas Shillings, both of Speegleville; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Farmer of Athens, Mrs. Lessie Keel of Garland and Mrs. Vera Jones of 1119 January; a brother, Pat Shillings of 4105 Speight; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
