James J. Seago, 71, died at his home in Memphis Tuesday morning. The body is being brought to Waco for burial at China Spring.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the China Spring Methodist Church, Rev. C. C. Sessions, Rev. E. C. Wade and Rev. DeWitt Seago officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. J. Crawford, at 2810 North Nineteenth street, until time of the service.
Survivors: His widow; four daughters, Mrs. Eda Thompson of El Paso, Mrs. B. M. Pittman of Stephenville, Mrs. Buster Duncan of Hico, and Mrs. W. J. Crawford of Waco; four sons, Nelson and Perry Seago of Lelia lake, Eugne Seago of Hico, and Dellis Seago of Waco; and sister, Mrs. Callie Harris; several grandchildren.
Active pallbearers; Haskell Nail, Luther Nail, John Payne, Bernice Crawford, Carl Crawford, Max DeHay.
Honorary pallbearers: R. L. Crawford; Will Davis, D. Conger, E. L. Drahn and J. J. Smith, and the Randall brothers of Hico.
Mr. Seago was a long-time resident of China Spring and had lived at Memphis for the past year.
