John A. Robinson, 45, of China Spring died Thursday evening at a local hospital.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, Chaplain Curtis Holland and the Rev. Jeff Letho officiating. Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Robinson was born Feb 3, 1939, in China Spring.  He attended University High School, and was in the Marines for six years.

He was married to Faye Childs in June 1959. He was employed by the U. S. Postal Service for 19 years.  He was a charter member of the China Spring Lions Club and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. H. M. (Ona) Robinson of China Spring; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Teresa) Gilliam, Mrs. Jerome (Karan) Merenda and Miss Jamie Robinson, all of China Spring; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Pauline) Smith of Waco and Mrs. Howard (Margie) Nelson of China Spring; and one grandchild.

The family has designated Grace Baptist Church of China Spring for memorials.

The family will be at 2716 Pine in Waco.
