Ben H. “Buddy” Roberts of China Spring passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, in Waco, Texas.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 3, at China Spring United Methodist Church with Rev. Jane Woodard and Rev. Frank Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey.

Buddy was born June 30, 1915, in China Spring to Ben and Minnie Roberts. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth Roberts; two brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by one son, Ray Roberts of China Spring; and several nieces and nephews.

He married Frances Ruth Garrett on April 14, 1934, and they were married 75 years. He was in the dairy business from 1936 to 1977, was also a livestock feed salesman in the 50s and 60s, and was in the home construction business in the 70s and 80s. Buddy lived in China Spring all his life and was a member of the China Spring United Methodist Church since 1930.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Harvey, Jimmy Ditto, Jimmy Bryant, Neil Knight, Steve Herbert and Tom McNamara. Honorary Pallbearers will be Buddy Villines, Tommy Long, Jerry Garrett, David Reeves, Don Stier and Larry Cobb.
