B. F. (Toots) Ringer, Jr., age 71, of China Spring, died Saturday at his residence in China Spring.  Services 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home with Rev. John A. Wood officiating.  Burial at China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Ringer was born May 27, 1921 in China Spring, son of Fred Ringer and Myrtle Busby.  Served in World War II and Korea during two enlistments with the U. S. Army.  Married Miriam V. Burkhart July 17, 1948.  Retired after 25 years as Chief Operator for Union Carbide Chemical Plant in Texas City.  Returned to China Spring in 1973.  Farmed there.  Member of First Baptist Church of Waco.

Preceded in death by his father in 1972 and a daughter-in-law Cindy Ringer in 1992.

Survivors:  Wife, Miriam Ringer of China Spring; Mother, Myrtle Busby of Clifton; Daughter, Jackie Ringer of China Spring; two sons, Ronny Ringer of Humble, Ricky Ringer of Houston; and six grandchildren,  Tiffany Ringer, Joey Ringer, and Jon Ringer of Houston, James Clymer, Jamie Clymer and Sarah Clymer of Humble.

Pallbearers:  Gene Campbell, Mark Campbell, John Stumpf, Mark Lawrence, Les Hinze.

Honorary pallbearers: Ralph Sommerfeld, Dennis Provesek, Steve Ringer, Bruce Wilburn, Doyle Emmert.
