Jim Bill (J.B.) Reid,of 3301 Colcord Ave., a retired Waco service station owner, died Thursday at his residence. He was 75.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Mark Deering officiating. Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Reid was born September 30, 1916, in China Spring, and graduated from Waco High School in 1934. He lived in Waco all of his life. He married Rita Marie Schreiber on Aug. 9, 1943, in Waco.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. A member of the 184th AAA Gun Battalion, he was involved in the Battle of the Bulge and the invastion of Normandy.
He owned Reid Bros. Sinclair Service Station at 25th Street and Bosque for more than 35 years, retiring in 1983.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Reid; a daughter, Kathy Reid Woods of Arlington; a son, James Wayne Reid of Huntsville; a sister, Louise Nolley of Tyler; a brother, Virgil Reid of Brigham City, Utah; and four grandchildren.
The family will be at the family residence.
The family has designated for memorials the American Cancer Society or the Community Hospice Program at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
