Robert Vernon Price III, 58, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at a Plano hospital.  A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 12, at China Spring Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Huckeby officiating.  The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr.

Robert was born Oct. 30, 1952, in Waco, to Robert Vernon Jr. and Dorothy Price.  He was graduate of Richfield High in 1971, and named Super Centex in football and baseball.  He was a diehard fan of the Texas Longhorns, Texas Rangers, and music.  Robert worked for Waco Meat for 10 years, and prior to that, the Waco Tribune-Herald.  He was a good friend, and will be missed deeply.

He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Susan K. Fischer; aunt, Jo Lu Shand; uncles, Billy Price and Weldon Smith; grandparents, Willie and Grace Ditto, Robert Vernon Sr., and Jessie Price, and niece, Suzanne Price.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Price and Jack Smith; sister, Lynda Price; nephew, Austin Price; aunts, Sandra Clemmons and husband, Robert, Betty Smith, and Elizabeth Price; step-daughter, Brooke Parrish; best friend, Larry Schier; and numerous extended family.

The staff at Waco Meat will be honorary pallbearers.
