Paul Duane Prescher, 57, passed away at his home in Waller, after a valiant fight with throat cancer, diagnosed in September of this year. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 22, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco, Texas with burial following at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, December 21, at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Paul graduated from Connally High School in 1975 and went on to T.S.T.I. where he earned a degree in computer science and became a programmer for Universal Computer Systems in Houston, known as Reynolds and Reynolds today. Paul was an avid reader and Elvis fan. Recently Paul was blessed with a granddaughter who became the light of his life, Kathrine Kay Prescher.

Paul is survived by his wife of 25 years, Veronica; his mother, Maxine Prescher; his daughter, Samantha Kay Prescher; two step-children, Steve Rosilier, Jr. and Angela Rubio and husband, David; sister, Susan Williams and husband, Scott; niece, Rachel; step-brother, Billy Ray Prescher and wife, Marty; grandchildren, Brie, Joey, Penny and Kitty; and lifelong childhood friend, Glen Vrba.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Children’s Learning Center in Waller, or China Spring Methodist Church.
