Eunice Lee Payne, 84, of China Spring, passed away Monday, March 19, 2001, at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 22 at China Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Donny Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Brookview Manor Funeral Home.
Mrs. Payne was born May 5, 1916, in Coryell County to Robert L. and Elizabeth Marshall Sumerlin. She was a long time resident of China Spring and a member of First Baptist Church in China Spring. She loved her family and took care of them as long as she was able.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Turnage of China Spring; brother Jack Sumerlin of China Spring; grandson, Justin Turnage and wife Kelly of Grandview; and great-grandchildren, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Casey and Taylor Turnage.
