James Daniel Pate, age 4, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Pate, died at 12:45 p.m. Thursday in a local hospital.  His home was Route 1, China Spring.

Funeral services were held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in China Spring, Rev. J. V. Beaird officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Surviving besides his parents are five sisters, Joy Katherine, Floy Irene, Lois Mae, June Oline and Ethel Lenora; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Cox of China Spring and Mr. J. E. Pate of Hamilton.
