Larry Wayne Parsons, 41, a Vietnam War veteran of China Spring, died Wednesday at his home.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. today (August 9, 1990) at China Spring Cemetery, the Rev. Charles Wilson officiating.
Mr. Parsons was born December 10, 1948 in Evansville, IND. He was a Marine during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2148 and the Disabled American Veterans. He was a commander in the Military Order of the Purple Heart, an officer in the Marine Corps League and a volunteer worker for the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Waco.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sandra Parsons of China Spring; daughter, Dawn Parsons of Massachusetts; six step-daughters, Mary Helen Hewitt of Galveston, Esther Mae Hewitt of Friendswood, and Amiko Hewitt, Cheri Hewitt, Giselle Hewitt and Kyrstin Hewitt, all of China Spring; stepson, Ian Hewitt of Georgetown; three sisters, Laura Webb of Terre Haute, Ind., Agnes Bilyue of Houstong and Betty Whittling of Helena, Montana.
