Funeral services for Eddie Louis Parsons of Grand Prairie, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at the Hughes Funeral Home/Cedar Hill Chapel. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, at the China Springs Cemetery in McLennan County. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his father, John C. Parsons; his first wife, Ruby Faye Parsons; and two grandsons, Arin Parsons and Willie George Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Parsons; children, Bobby Parsons, Johnny Parsons and wife, Jamie, Jerry Parsons, Willie George, Sheryl Hutchinson and Dianna Childress; grandchildren, Jeremy Parsons, Michael Parsons, Jamaka Parsons, Randol Parsons, Loren Parsons, Mollie Hutchinson, Jeramy Hutchinson, Jaime Hutchinson, Scott Sanders, Celia Murillo, James Pedrin and Jason George; 11 great-grandchildren; mother, Viola Parsons; brothers, Charles Parsons, Bob Parsons and John Parsons; sister, Judy Parsons-Sickles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
