Vance Owen, 72, of Sherman, formerly of Waco, died Thursday in a Sherman hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in the Waldo Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be at 4 p.m. in China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Owen was born January 20, 1907 in Erath.  He married Opal A. Rogers of Waco in 1927.  He was a retired real estate broker and bookkeeper.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Joy Wimble of Sherman and Mrs. Etta Hogue of Wichita Falls; a son, Roger Owen of Georgetown; two sisters, Mrs. J. D. Tinsley of Fort Worth and Mrs. John Graves of Waco; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
