Lisa Alewine Owen of China Spring, a former Safeway grocery store employee, died Tuesday in an automobile accident in China Spring.  She was 29.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Don Bearden officiating.  Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.

Mrs. Owen was born Sept.10, 1962, in Waco and attended Midway schools.  She graduated from McLennan Community College with an associate degree in science.  She married Jay Owen in 1984; he died Sept. 4, 1989. Mrs. Owen was an office worker for 14 years for Safeway Stores.  She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist church.

Survivors include her parents,  Mr. and Mrs. Carl Alewine of Waco; a son Jason Owen of China Spring; and her mother-in-law, Louise Owen of Waco.

The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
