Vina Elizabeth Crawson Robinson Organ, 87, of Laguna Park, Texas, passed from this earth, into the arms of Jesus Tuesday Nov. 3, 2009. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the China Spring Cemetery.

She was the seventh of eight children born to the late John and Elizabeth Crawson, in China Spring, Texas. Her family always referred to her by her nickname “Gammy”, given to her by her great-granddaughter, and went by “Vi” to friends and family. Vina was the widow of World War II Congressional Medal of Honor recipient First Lt. James E. Robinson Jr.

Vina had a wide range of talents including crocheting, embroidery and had many historical collections. She was an avid domino and card player, and would be determined to be the winner at every game. All of her artistic talents greatly outlined her sense of creativity. Vina will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her smile, sparkling brown eyes and contagious laugh are only a few of her beautiful attributes that will never be forgotten.

She and her husband, Larry, shared many activities together, mainly their passion for golfing. They were both outstanding athletes and were each Club Champions of several golf clubs. Vina had the amazing accomplishment of shooting two holes-in-one in her lifetime! The couple lived in a variety of states including homes in California, Hawaii, South Carolina and Texas.

Her loving husband, Larry Organ, preceded her death in 2008.

Survivors include her daughter, Martha Dolores Milhous; sister-in-law, Virginia Crawson; grandchildren, Peggy, Timothy and Derrick; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Amanda, Grace, Trystan and Diana; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and great-grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews.
