Helen I. Osman Thedford Nichols, 77, of Waco, died Tuesday at a local nursing home.
Services will be 4 p.m. today, Sept. 2, 1993, Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Randy Hughes and the Rev. Danny Lane officiating. Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.
Mrs. Nichols was born June 12, 1916, in Kansas City, Mo. She attended Waco schools. She married James D. Nichols in 1940 in Waco; he died April 25, 1985. She retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. in 1956. Mrs. Nichols was a member of Victory Temple Assembly of God.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Charlton of Conroe and Joyce Thedford Sanders of Waco; son, Douglas Nichols of Houston; sister, June Roberts of Lake Arrowhead, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
