Mrs. George (Emma) Meadows, 83, of 2720 Maple died Saturday.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Lee Geldmeier and the Rev. John Clifford officiating. Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.
Mrs. Meadows was born Nov. 21, 1900, in Evant, and was reared and educated there. She taught school in Crawford. She was married to George Meadows in 1920 in China Spring. He died in 1954. Mrs. Meadows was active at Herring Avenue United Methodist church and was a 50-year member of the Jewell Conway Sunday school class.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Meadows and Bill Meadows, both of Waco; two daughters, Marjorie Dickenson of Waco and Mary Jo Nix of Beaumont; two sisters, Mrs. L. M. Peters of Temple and Mrs. Aurbory Anderson of Bristol, Tenn., seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
