Loyde M. Martin, 45, of China Spring died Monday at a local hospital.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Connally-Compton West Waco Drive Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Chris Hayward officiating.  Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Martin was born March 7, 1941, in Mayflower, Ark.  He attended Mayflower schools and Peti-Jean Technical School in Marrilton, Ark.

He had lived in Waco since 1967.  He married Jackie Cummings on Jan. 12, 1959.  He was a business representative for Sheet Metal Local 67, where he had worked for the past 2 1/2 years.

He had worked for Jacobs-Cathey Co. for 13 years and was on the executive board of the state sheet metal union.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Martin of Mayflower, Ark; two daughters, Mrs. Rufus (Karen) Wallace of China Spring and Mrs. Dean (Cyndie) Pankonien of Northcrest; three sisters, Louetta Ford of Conway, Ark., and dianne Traylor and Lynete Sanders, both of Jacksonville, Ark.; a brother, Doyle Martin of Fort Worth; and two grandchildren.
