John Lawrence Martin, 66, died at 5:00 p.m. Monday at his home in Valley Mills.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Williams Chapel in Valley Mills. Reverend Hugh Durham officiated with burial in China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Martin was born March 3, 1893 in Mississippi. He was a retired farmer. He had lived in Valley Mills most of his life.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Jim O’Neal of Valley Mills and a brother, W.O. Martin of Waco.

Pallbearers were Lloyd Raburn, Otto Walsben, Dallas Farmer, Angus McNeill, Tommy Winders, and Frank Ficklin.
