J. C. (Jiggs) Marshall, 72, of Hewitt died Monday, May 25, 1998, at a local nursing home.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at BrookView Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Rose officiating.  Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Marshall was born on Jan. 19, 1926, in Kopperl, Texas.  He had worked for Warren Brothers Dairy for 39 years.  He was a resident of Hewitt since 1949.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Easter Marshall; his wife Betty Marshall; a son Ronnie Marshall; and a brother, Eddie Marshall.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna Kienitz, Sandra Wood, Linda Anderson and Peggy Herbert; two sisters, Reva Calahan and Maxine Scruggs; two brothers, Gene Marshall and Leo Marshall; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
