Jeff Lumpkin, 88, of Valley Mills died Sunday at a Clifton hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Foss Funeral Home Chapel in Valley Mills, Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating.  Burial will be at Valley Mills Cemetery.

Mr. Lumpkin was born May 21, 1900, in Bosque County.  He was married to Minnie Alice Holt on Feb. 16, 1929, in Waco.  He was a longtime rancher and farmer in the Valley Mills Area.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Laurence Lumpkin of Waco; a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Alice) Eskew of Valley Mills; a brother, Bailey Lumpkin of Clifton; a sister, Gladys Bearden of Fairview; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
