June Swartz Lacefield, 81, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at China Spring Cemetery with Chaplain Ann Pennington officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Lacefield was born on July 3, 1926, in Jenson, Ky., to Edward and Patsy (Fuson) Swartz. She had been a resident of Waco for 10 years.

Mrs. Lacefield was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; sisters, Helen Porter and Irma Lee Givens; and a son-in-law, Al Bryant.

Survivors include daughters, Sherry Bryant, of China Spring, and Kay McEvers and husband, Darrell, of Sanger; grandchildren, Misti Crain and husband, Ricky Meza, Bobby Mitchell and wife, Becky, Julie Willis and husband, Chris, Kristi Mann and husband, Dennis, Mike McEvers and wife, Tiffany, Summer McEvers, and Autumn Hanks and husband, Shawn; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Regent Care Center and Vista Care Hospice and requests memorials to Vista Care Hospice.
