Earldean Kornegay, 55, of China Spring, a cherished June bloom in life’s garden of cherished women, closed on May 21, 2000, in Waco.  Services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. John Carroll officiating.  Interment will be at China Spring Cemetery.

Earldean Kornegay was born June 29, 1944, to Edith and Earl Smith.  She wass born, educated and built her life in Waco.  She married Billy Kornegay on Aug. 31, 1981, and was a member of Central Texas Doll Club.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, C. W. Edwards and a step-father, R. K. Hatfield.

She is survived by her husband Billy of China Spring; children, Regina Lorenzen and husband Mark of Waco, Donna Mills and husband, Robert of Hewitt and Billy Pat “Bubba” Kornegay and wife Kelly of China Spring; a brother, Gary Hatfield of Valley Mills; a sister, Barbara Holland of Fort Worth; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Kirksey, Rodney Ludwig, Roger Ludwig,  Terry Rawls, Wayne Raborn, Steven McDonald and Justin Adler.
