George Pollard “Pat” Kilpatrick, 81, of Waco, died Friday in Dallas. Graveside services wil be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2000, at China Spring Cemetery, with the Rev. David Spain officiating.
Mr. Kilpatrick was born in Mississippi Feb. 22, 1919, the oldest of seven children of Thaddeus Roger Kilpatrick and Bessie Pollard Kilpatrick. He gradusted from high school in Mississippi and afterwards, entered the military. Mr. Kilpatrick served as a Military Police Officer during WWII. During his military service, he met and married Carol York, his wife of 54 years, four months and two days. She preceded him in death June 25, 1999. A sister, Emma Kilpatrick and a brother Dr. T. Roger Kilpatrick Jr. also preceded him in death.
Mr. Kilpatrick represented Library Binding Co. for 27 years, traveling throughout the state of Texas. After his retirement, he and Carol shared many wonderful years together in China Spring. Mr. Kilpatrick was a Methodist. He will be remembered as a wonderful granddaddy, husband and father.
Survivors include his daughter, Jo Baggett and her husband Mike; grandchildren, Cary Baggett and Carl Baggett and his wife Dee Ann, all of Dallas; three sisters, Otis Caperton of Louisville, Miss., Joy Wall of Noxapater, Miss., and Rebecca Becton of Alabama; and one brother, Bill Kilpatrick of Washington, D.C.
