Mary E. Kekic, 72, of China Spring, passed away Saturday December 4, 2004 in a peaceful sleep after a hard-fought struggle with leukemia.

Funeral services will be at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Joel Bocsche officiating. Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.

Mary was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on June 11, 1932. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. She enjoyed Bingo and bus trips to Bossier City, LA with her family and friends. She was a volunteer at Sul Ross Senior Citizens Center, a member of the VFW, and a substitute teacher for China Spring ISD. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Mary is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gene “Pops” Kekic; son, Norman Kekic of Parma, Ohio and William Baum and wife Annie of Berea, Ohio; daughters, Deborah Kekic of Dover, Ohio and Sharon Conry and husband Tom of China Spring; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
