Jack (Pete) Jones of China Spring, a Waco diesel mechanic, died Sunday near Mart.  He was 30.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. W. H. Smith officiating.  Burial will be at  China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Jones was born June 6, 1961, in Waco and attended schools in  China Spring.  He was a diesel mechanic at Scott’s Diesel Inc. in Waco.

Survivors include his mother, Lenora Hammons of China Spring; his maternal grandmother, Inez Harris of China Spring; a daughter, Krystal Rene Jones of Waco; a son, Joshua Leland Jones of Waco; two brothers, Jim Clay Jones of Arlington and Leslie Wilson Jones of Clifton; and his fiancee, Rhonda Crawford of Mart.
