Claude Jaynes, 84, a longtime farmer of Waco, died Friday at a local hospital.

Services will be 4 p.m. today (January 20, 1990) at China Spring Cemetery, the Rev. Forrest Whitworth officiating.

Mr. Jaynes was born October 30, 1905 in Valley Mills. He was a farmer for many years and later went into the dirt-moving and yard-leveling contracting business.

Survivors: his wife, Willie Mae Jaynes of Waco; son, Claude Edwin Jaynes of Waco; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
