Hubert Jay, 78, of 1536 Live Oak died at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Marlin Veteran’s Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Connally-Compton Downtown Chapel, Rev. Kenneth Boatman officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Survivors: His wife, Linnie Mae Jay; two sons, H.B. and wife Joann and Wayne and wife Barbara; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild.
