Funeral arrangements for M. J. Heine, 45, of China Spring are pending at Connally Funeral Home.
Mr. Heine died about 1:30 p.m. Sunday as he attempted to repair a damaged hot water pipe underneath a partially completed house near the new Lake Waco golf course.
Justice of the Peace Joe Johnson is awaiting the results of an autopsy before ruling on the cause of death. He said probable cause is electrocution or heart attack.
Heine was a plumber in the China Spring community.
Investigating officers said Heine had been summoned to the home shortly after noon to repair pipes underneath the house. They said he took a neighbor, R. B. Hardy, with him.
Hardy was quoted by officials as saying he heard Mr. Heine moan a few minutes after he crawled under the house. As A-1Ambulance was summoned and took Mr. Heine to Hillcrest Hospital. He was pronounced dead when he arrived.
Marvin J. Heine, 45, of Route 1, China Spring, died at a local hospital Sunday.
Funeral services were held t 2:30 Tuesday in China Spring Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Rice, officiating and burial in China Spring Cemetery.
Survivors: his wife, Mrs. Faye (Myrtle Faye Morgan) Heine of Route 1, China Spring; two daughters, Mrs. B. J. Sparkman of Route 3, Waco, and Miss Katy Faye Heine of Route 1, China Spring; his mother, Mrs. Katy Heine of 506 North Twenty-second Street; two brothers, Arthur Heine of St. Louis, Mo., and Carl Heine of Houston; eight sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Pate of Temple, Mrs. Alvine Beheler of 2744 MacArthur Drive, Mrs. Agnes Landfried of 2728 Reuter Avenue, Mrs. Bertha Ellis of 1220 Dutton Avenue, Mrs. Hattie Beheler of Elm Mott, Mrs. Margaret Stephens of 2013 Homan Avenue, Mrs. Juanita Carter of Guam, Mrs. Frances Barger of 4008 Maple Avenue.
