Alice Jo Griffith of Waco passed away Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family. Services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday Feb. 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Greg Brumit officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery.
Alice was born July 10, 1941, in Anson, Texas, to Jarrett and Mary Thomas.
She was a great homemaker, excellent cook, and awesome mother and grandmother. She loved camping, fishing and being outdoors. Alice had a large family and loved all of them.
She was a member of Kendrick Lane Baptist Church in Waco.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jasper Leon Griffith; several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her two sons, Roy Dale Griffith and Gerald Wayne Griffith; and her daughter, Donna Deon Girnus, all of Waco; four granddaughters, Misty Griffith, Stephanie Griffith, Amber Girnus, and Candice Martin; eight great grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews.
