Mrs. Veda Maxine Swett Gregory, 81, of Gibsonville, NC died Friday, Jan. 15, 2004, after two weeks of failing health. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Graveside service will be Saturday, Jan. 24 at China Spring Cemetery. The family will be at home of her son, Mark at 70 Westfield Ct., Gibsonville, NC.
Veda was the wife of the late Herschel R. “Tex” Gregory and the daughter of the late Warren and Lula Dykes Swett. Mrs. Gregory was a native of Nebraska and a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church, the Women’s Circle, the Care and Share Group and very active at the YMCA.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Lamm.
Survivors include her son, Mark Gregory and wife, Jill, of Gibsonville; grandsons, Kyler and Kohnor Gregory of Gibsonville; nieces, Sandra Lamm of Dallas, TX; nephew, Dennis Lamm and wife, Jeane of Boulder, CO; grand-nieces, Amy Lambert of Dallas and Dana Lamm of Boulder, CO; grandnephews, Evan Lambert of Dallas and Kevin Lamm and wife, Lexi of Denver, CO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carolina Marlins or GBC Falcons Baseball Team.
