Jess Hugh Freedman, 69, of Valley Mills died at 7:30 p.m. Friday in a Clifton hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Valley Mills First Baptist Church. Rev. Billy McClellan and Rev. Elmer Dixon officiated and burial in China Spring Cemetery with Krueger Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Freedman lived in and around Valley Mills all his life. He was a retired farmer. His wife, the former Emily York, died three months ago.
Mr. Freedman is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Albert Light, Mrs. Marcus Riddle, Mrs. A.J. Johnson, Diane Freedman, Delma Freedman and Inez Freedman; eight sons, J.E. Freedman of Troy, W.E. Freedman of China Spring, Ray Freedman of Waco, and Richard Freedman, Duncan Freedman, Carroll Freedman and Harry Freedman, all of Valley Mills; two sisters, Mrs. Florene Hamlin and Mrs. A. B. Goodin, both of Fort Worth; two brothers, Will Freedman and Henry Freedman, both of Valley Mills; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were his sons.
