Raymond M. Erlanson, 80, of Robinson, passed away Friday, March 2, 2001, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at China Spring Cemetery with Rev. Ivan Ker officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.
Mr. Erlanson was born Oct. 29, 1920, in China Spring, the son of Jack Erlanson and Alma Olson Erlanson. He attended school in Lorena. He served in the U.S. Army for 12 years, serving during WWII and the Korean War. He married Velma Ruth Collier Dec. 12, 1957, in Waco. He worked for Waco Outdoor Advertising for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth “Ma” Erlanson of Robinson; a son, Raymond Clyde Erlanson of Arkansas; a daughter, Darlene Ramsey and husband Don of Robinson; sister, Margaret Albright of Lincoln, Nebraska; three granddaughters, Tammy Bollinger and husband Phil, Cindy Ramsey, Shelia Gaylord and husband David; three grandsons, Donnie Ramsey, Wayne Erlanson and wife Angela, Kevin Erlanson; and 15 great-grandchildren.
