Julian D. Dominguez, 97, of China Spring, passed away Saturday, June 27th at his residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, at St. Philip’s Catholic Church with Rev. John Guzaldo as celebrant. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 29, including a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lake Shore Funeral Home in Waco.
Julian was born February 18, 1918, in Villa de Ramos San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to Roman and Inez (DeLeon) Dominguez. The family moved to Texas in 1925. He married Valentina Flores on October 3, 1943, at St. Francis Catholic Church. He became a United States citizen on November 10, 1953. Julian was a dairy farmer in the China Spring area for almost 65 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 66 years, Valentina; daughter, Mary Alice Dominguez; three sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include daughter Pat Flores and husband, Alfredo, of Laredo; sons, Manuel Dominguez of Lucedale, Mississippi, John Dominguez and wife, Judy, of China Spring; Charles Dominguez and wife, Susan, of Bosqueville; and Alex Dominguez and wife, Shirley, of Bruan, of Bosqueville; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
Pallbearers will be J. B. Dominguez, Mike Dominguez, Edwin Dominguez, Britt Dominguez, Joe Dominguez, and Eddie Jimenez.
