Herschel C. Davis, 61, of Route 3 died early Wednesday in a Temple hospital.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in the Connally Chapel with burial in the China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Davis had lived in  Waco for seven years and was a retired truck driver.  He was an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter Shirley Yankie of 4411 Catalina; a brother, Crawford Davis of Cloverdale, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Marie Randall of Enid, Okla.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
