Helen Marie Knocke Davis, 87, of Waco, Texas, died peacefully at Scott & White hospital in Temple, Wednesday afternoon, March 9, 2011. A private family interment was held following her death.

She married Robert N. Davis, Jr. on July 10, 1946, in Dallas, Texas. The newlyweds then moved to El Paso where Bob was active in numerous civic leadership positions. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW 2148.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert “Bob” N. Davis, Jr.; a son, Robert Neblett Davis III; and grandson, Nathan Robert Davis.

She is survived by her son, Stan W. Davis and wife, Jimmie, of Houston; daughter, Mary D. Schumann and husband, Jim, of Woodway; granddaughter, Sunnee Davis Lange Schumann, of Woodway; two brothers; five nephews; and many other family members and friends.
