John Cross, 77, of Waco died Thursday at his residence.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Connally-Compton Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. E. J. Culp officiating. Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Cross was born Aug. 5, 1908, in Prairie Hill. He lived in the Waco area all of his life. He was a retired farmer. He worked for the Waco State Home for many years. He married Loal Mae Ferguson on Dec. 6, 1930. He was a member of China Spring Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Wanda Sue Brooks of Hewitt, Ima Jean Patrick of Speegleville and Joyce Laverne Thiele of Clifton; son, John Calvin Cross of Bellmead; sister, Ruby Fisher of Waco; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
