Funeral services for R. V. Cox, of China Spring will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Wilkirson and Hatch Chapel, Rev. Hoyt Hunnicutt will officiate. Burial will at China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Cox was born and reared in Navarro County. He married the former Betty Gilliam of Navarro County in 1948. He was employed through Local 450 of Operating Engineers of Houston.

Mr. Cox was injured on the job in 1966 and has been retired since that time. He moved to China Spring from Houston three years ago. He was a member of Golf Drive Baptist Church of Houston.

He was a member of the China Spring Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Brenda) Jernigan of China Spring; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Morse of Laguna Park and Mrs. Ruby Denn of Corsicana; three brothers, E. L. Cox of Huffman, O. E. Cox of Alvin and M. T. Cos of Corsicana; and several nieces and nephews.
