His daughter, Anna Katherine Carpenter Webb was born Feb. 9, 1895 and died in Galveston on Aug. 4, 1949.
Son David Clay Carpenter was born Feb. 2, 1880 in Kentucky and died Nov. 20, 1951 in Oklahoma. Is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, OK. Was married to Emma Gassaway.
John Henry Carpenter, 86, died at his home in China Spring Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the China Spring Methodist Church, Rev. J. C. Baird officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Carpenter had been a resident of the China Spring community for about 35 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Annie Webb and Mrs. C. E. Neil, both of Corpus Christi; seven sons, Clay of Illinois, Arthur and John of China Spring, J.E. of Huntsville, Marvin of Los Angeles, E.A. of Rosenthal and C.A. of Corpus Christi; five brothers and two sisters.
